Bruce Ykanji Sone works as a performer for dance shows, teaches at workshops in Germany, Japan, Italy and France, and runs his own dance studio. His focus is on informing people about the hip hop culture and on teaching basic moves.
Bruce started dancing in Cameroon at the age of 8. When he was 17 he moved to France and became a member of “T-Connection”, his first crew. Back then he got tutored by two members of the crew “TKS” aka “The Criminal Starz”, Manu N’Guyen und Nicolas „Key Bee“ Bique and trained styles such as pop, boogaloo and popping as well as hype, harlem and monastory. He made his breakthrough by performing for two celebrities: MC Solaar, a french rapper, in 1997 and the english RnB group Mis-teeq in 2004. At the same time he toured the world as a member of the “Ykanji Crew”. In 2000 he helped choreographing “Les Dix Commandements”, a well-known french musical. After this he choreographed “Urban Peace” and put up the famous “Juste Debout”, a street dance event.
